Show us a great smile.
This isn't even one of Nicholas' best smiles... but it is a "great smile"! Especially since he was so tired at the time.
This is a Brag Book layout I did to add to the Mother's Day Brag Books that I made.
I used the September Mega Kit from The Scrapping Garden. Layout based on a sketch template by GingerT from RUSquare. I believe all of the papers and the wood star are by Angie Galemore.
Photo was taken of Nicholas while we were waiting for the fireworks display in Valdese, North Carolina. We went there on vacation to visit my biological mother.
Monday again. Ho Hum. Lots to do this week... It's going to be crazy! I'm going to be away more than I'll be home and that just stinks. When it comes right down to it, I'm a home-body and really like it that way.
Just finished my workout... first one in well over a year! I had to take it easy during my pregnancy with child #3 due to pre-ecclampsia. He's 10 1/2 months old... better start working out again! I took it pretty easy today. Walked on my treadmill for 38 minutes (9.5 minute warm-up, 19 minute workout, and 9.5 minute cool-down). Tomorrow, I think I will dance! I used to take a class called NIA and my instructor and another instructor made a video, which I purchased years ago when I took the class. I'm also hoping to restart the class, but that will have to wait until our finances are in a much better position. I also plan to start doing Tae-Bo again. I have lots of different videos... what gets me motivated changes - a lot!
Time to take a shower and work on some laundry. I need to get my routines back into place and working for me again. FlyLady is great... just need to put the system back to work for me again!
The weekend went by very quickly, as it always does. Although, I did get a lot done on the Halloween costumes that I'm making for the two older boys. Our Halloween costumes this year are a knight, a wizard, a princess, and a dragon. Yes, I'm one of those mothers that likes her kids to dress in a theme. I am making the knight and wizard costumes. We bought the princess costume and the dragon costume was given to us. The dragon costume is what started this whole mess! LOL The baby (10 1/2 month old Nicholas) is going to be the dragon. Christopher (this year's wizard) had been knight in the past, so our foster son will be the knight - however, the costume is too small for him, so I'm having to make a new one.
This was the very first digital layout I ever did! LOL
I completed this layout on February 13, 2006 (only a day or two after discovering there was even such a thing as digital scrapbooking)

I believe I used PSP7. The photograph is the hospital picture taken of Nicholas on 10 December 2005 when he was a mere 6 or 7 hours old! I cut the background out. I did it the hard way!
I've come a very long way since this first layout! I've learned so much in the past 8 months! I hope to continue learning and getting better.
