After dropping the boys off at school, I headed to the township hall. Baby Nicholas and Mary Ann went with me while I voted. Mary Ann got her first mini civics lesson! She wanted to see what a ballot looked like and how voting worked. I hope I explained it well enough. Children are never too young to start learning!
Here in Michigan, there were several important proposals on the ballots, in addition to the governor and a few other things. Not sure I totally understood the proposals, but I voted the best educated vote I could.
Special Thank you to Lorrain Yuriar for the "I Voted!" button pictured to the left. If you'd like one, click her name and it will take you to her blog. In a way, I wish I'd taken my camera with me to take a picture of Mary Ann learning about the voting process. Would have made a cute "Future Voter" scrapbook layout.
In other happenings...
I've not been feeling well lately. We've all got some sinus icky garbage. Patrick has had it for nearly a month now. I've been on and off with the sinus congestion and pain, cough and sore throat. Poor Christopher was up almost all night coughing. Speaking of that cough, I'm going to get him something for it right now.

Love those Triaminic Thin Strips! None of the children give me any problems taking them! Although, Christopher is eleven, so he shouldn't be giving me any trouble! ROFL Mary Ann is a professional medicine spitter... takes two grown adults to get her take any kind of medicine. So far, she's been relatively free of this bug... ~knocking on wood~ I hope it stays that way! I've also been very lucky that Nicholas hasn't gotten sick either. He had a major episode with some allergies in the Spring and it turned asthmatic on us. We now have to watch this coming Spring to see if he has a repeat performance.
"T" is giving us a run for our money. His mouth is writing checks that his rear end can't cash. I'm running out of chores to assign him when he mouths off or argues with us over really insignificant things. Just loved it this morning when I asked for an apology about his mouthing off and his reply was, "But I've been good for two days." The thing that gets me... if he was able to control his mouth for two days... why won't he control it EVERY day?
Show us something with three wheels.
This was a rather easy hunt. First I thought of posting a picture of my daughter on her tricycle... but I couldn't find a good one.
So... here is Miss Mary Ann with her jogger stroller for her dolls. It looks a lot like the one I use for her brother. She loves to push her "babies" around the house!
She'll be 4 years old just before Christmas! She's growing so fast!
I finally got to do a little scrapping that I can share! I've been doing a lot of layouts, but they were about or for my foster children... so I couldn't share them.
This little layout is 4"h x 6"w. It's for the brag books/mini albums that I gave to the Grandmothers and Godmothers for Mother's Day. For Christmas, I'm going to give them all a bunch of new pictures for their books!

Font is 1920 - I believe I got it at DaFont.
Lace was made by Ericka Tenney. It was a freebie that I downloaded a long time ago. This is the first time that I've used it. I can tell, I will be using it a lot more in the future!
Background/Paper was made by Anne Langpap and is from her March 2006 Free Pea kit @ 2Ps
